Sync trouble linking 2 828 units

Hi everybody

I had a 828mkII which have always worked fine, and I bought a 828mk3 last week, because I needed to increase my inputs.
They are linked through a FW cable. The mk3 is connected to the laptop computer with another 6-pin to 6-pin FW cable (I have a 2-port FW pcmcia card).
Quite often one of my units gets out of sync. I've tried setting either the mkII or the mk3 as internal clock, but with no better results.
I have connected them via a BNC cable, having the same problem.
I have the last drivers installed (3.6.8.1328).

Anybody has a suggestion? I've tried everything but the problem presists.

By now it seems that with Nuendo 3 it works OK. But I keep having lots of sync problems when working with SAWStudio.

You're gonna have to give a little more detail than that. Did you try the "fix" that I posted? Are the sync problem symptoms in SAW the same as those
characterized in my linked thread? Also, you should post your systems specs, OS, and software versions.
