Hello All
New to this forum. I have a few issues (but one at a time). I have a .MOV film clip that I'm trying to import into DP5 to work within DP to compose a score. How do i convert this movie file so that I can run it in my sequence?

Re: Converting .MOV files
You do not have to convert it, just import it into the sequence. Select rom the Project menu: Movie.
Re: Converting .MOV files
Tried that. It won't even let me grab it (the file is grayed out). The file's extension actually ends with HTML. When I open up the link, which has as an extension .MOV, it turns into the HTML extension. The icon appears on my desktop as a white icon that says, "Redirect" on it. I can click on it and see the film, but cannot import it into DP. It's whack!!!

Re: Converting .MOV files
Could it be that you have a link that connects you a movie that is posted on the internet? If so, then you have to find a way to download it, or talk to your client to send you a copy.

Alex,
You hit the nail on the head! She sent me a clip that resides on the internet. I'll try to get her to send me a quicktime video.
thanks much
