Well, I'm as much of a fan of iconoclastic performances as the next jerk, but these are hard to understand. I know LVB was a huge fan of the metronome, but right now I am unable to locate a score with the M.M. markings. Did Ludwig provide these for the 9th?
Also, for you conducting types, can you explain the "Ritmo di tre/quattro battute" sections of the scherzo? I never could understand how such a long stretch of triple meter could be divided into four beats, except for the first four measures of that "quattro" section.

Even though the individual measures are in 3, you treat each group of four measures as if it's one big meta-measure. It's sort of like a big 12/8.
