I am now a former Ultralite-mk3 owner

Today, after all the problems I've had trying to get the Ultralite-mk3 to work with Windows Vista, I took the unit back to the dealer and exchanged it for something else (not an audio interface).

Thanks to those in this forum, especially 'reeper', who contributed ideas for fixing the problem, even if it didn't work out in the end.

I have a dual-booting XP and Vista computer. The Ultralite-mk3 worked fine with XP but barely at all in Vista. I could have lived with not being able to do high-end audio work in Vista but the unit wouldn't even work for playing back MP3 files in Windows Media Player, which isn't really a limitation that could be tolerated.

So I've gone back to using my trusty Phonic Helix Board 12 FireWire MkII mixer/audio interface. Its spec may not be quite as professional as the Ultralite-mk3's but at least it works.
