DP6.01, Mac OS 10.4.1.1, G5 Dual, Omnisphere, Stylus etc.
DP crashes every single time I try to open the soundbites window (tried various ways by choosing different window sets that would contain the soundbites window). I've recorded material now need to convert it to mp3 and just can't access it, as I usually do this via the soundbites window. Any fast work-arounds or suggestions? I guess I could play the file and use something like audio hijacker, but really, I shouldn't have to and that won't be a solution to the big project I'm in.

Re: DP6 Soundbites window crashes
I had this same thing happen. Anytime I just opened the Soundbite Window, D.P. would crash. Frodo suggested removing my Waves plug ins, which I did temporarily and this fixed the problem like a charm. Waves came out with their V6 upgrade and that seems to have fixed my Waves problem. I know it's a very frustrating problem so I don't know if you have any Waves plugs or not. But I would start there if you do. If you don't, try removing some other plugs. One thing for sure is I bet it wont crash if you remove all of your 3rd party plugs.

Re: DP6 Soundbites window crashes
I don't have WAVES. I do have Altiverb however, not keen on removing it!
The only other plugs are instruments: Spectrasonics etc.
Seriously, in DP 4.6 I had no crashes all day every day.
In DP6 it crashes about 5 times an hour, maybe even more often at times. And of course calling up soundbites window is to be avoided. Instead I "pop" the tracks into a consolidated window, and pull out a new frame and choose "soundbites" to be displayed. Whenever I forget to do that BAM crash.
Various other crashes continuously but I'm really not sure if I can replicate those each time. Of course, in the middle of a massive project.
