Native Power Pak and DP 5.1.1
I bought the Waves Native Power Pak a long time ago and it caused crashes so I took it off. I have also written to Waves but I wondered if I could get a user point of view here.
The Power Pak has the L1 Ultramaximizer, Super Tap 2-tap, Q10 ParaGraphic EQ, C1 Parametric Compander, S1 Stereo Imager, DeEsser, True Verb
I am still at OS 10.4. 11 and DP 5.1.1 on a Mac dual 2.3 with 6.5 G of Ram - hope I have those numbers right; it's been a long time since I had to think about them.
Just a hobby here and I'm trying to eliminate crashes - believe it or not this is the most stable my system has been and I don't want to mess with it too much!
Question: Is anyone using the Native Power Pak with OS 10.4.11 and DP 5.1.1 without incident? I'd like to use it since I paid for it.
thanks,
carl

Re: Native Power Pak and DP 5.1.1
I just got a message from Waves saying that V6 of the Native Power Pak is compatible with my system. I'd still like to hear from anyone who is using DP 5.1.1 and OS 4.10.11 who can tell me YES it works flawlessly.
thanks,
carl

how about posting your comp and system in your sig line...sort of like I have done...makes it easier to see what issues you might have.

I'm running Native Power Pack version 5 (with the latest enabler) with no problems OS 10.4.11 DP5.11 G5 2x2 4g ram as well as Rennaisance Max, SSL & L316. I understand that version 6 runs quite well under the same configuration. Waves has a new promo that if you renew your WUP 100% of the value can go towards the purchase of new plugins. API here I come.

Re: Native Power Pak and DP 5.1.1
I just talked to the salesman who sold me the Native Power Pak - years ago. He says that yes, I will have no trouble running the Native Power Pak now - v 6 is good with my stuff. I appreciate your responses - like to hear about the real world. Also looking to upgrade BFD v 1.5 to BFD 2 since I have read here that BFD 2 is much better.
Mac dual 2.3 with 6.5 GB of Ram running OS 10.4.11, DP 5.1.1, Motu 2408 MkIII and 2408 mk II, Apogee Rosetta 200 and 800, Motu MIDI Express XT, Yamaha S-90 and an assortment of MIDI gear, BFD 1.5, Ivory, Motu Symphony Orchestra, Stylus, B4 VI, Roland TD-8 v-drums, DA7 Ramsa console, Ensoniq DP4+, M-3000 reverb, Amek 9098, Drawmer 1960, Millennia Origin, UA 6176, Soundelux U-95, Gefell UM-92S, Neumann U-87 and KM 84 - guitars etc, I'm the first one to tell you that gear doesn't mean as much as knowing how to get the most out of it - still learning how to mix. No mastering software. Still a hacker!

nice gear collection I hope I didn't mislead you there. I was just looking for your mac type (which you had posted- I just missed it) and thought it would be easier to find in the sig line.
Best wishes.

It's taken years of hard work to get this stuff. Funny how easy it is to make mistakes in recording though, depending on how tired the ears are - still learning everytime I record. If it were easy, we'd all be a George Martin. You made a good point about the info. Thanks.
