Fortuitous Storm

Post by dpg4macman »

Here is a collab I did with a singer from Minneapolis and the lead guitar player in the band I play in.

Link to song: http://www.macjams.com/song/47028

All recorded in my bedroom studio using DP 4.61 - The guitar sounds are Amplitube 1 and iZotope Trash. I use Wave Arts Track plug along with Master Verb and a few other plug ins from DP. The keyboard and synth sounds are from a Kurzweil K2000s and K2600s.

mastered in Peak 4 with Wave Arts MultiDynamics and T-Racks plug ins.

Enjoy - comments welcome.

dpg4macman, the mix sounds good on my system. And it's refreshing to hear some 6/8!

I don't know if it's intentional but there is a big difference in sound between the (I assume) Flash version and the QuickTime version on Macjams. The Flash version sounds good and the QT version sounds over-compressed and distorted. Are they supposed to sound the same?

Thanks for the listen and reply Leigh. I noticed the same thing. The song is not distorted and yes I may be pushing the zero limit but no way is there distortion. I think it's a Macjams thing with the QT player. I always listen using the flash player vs. the QT player anymore because of that fact and it actually loads faster.

Thanks again,
