New (Old) Missing Palmer West Songs

Post by builder »

We just wrapped up our new album and we are waiting to have it mastered. We recorded the basic instruments and a studio, overdubs at my house with DP and mixed at another studio....

So I thought I would dig up some old tunes that we never really did anything with them and decided to record new parts and mix them for fun... I moved jobs recently ( I know teach music in a middle school as opposed to an elementary school) So I have been recording Bells, Trumpet, Tubular Bells, and Timpani in my band room....

They probably will just be available as free downloads on our site. Feel free to take a listen and post any comments if you feel like it....

I've been out of MOTUNATION circulation for a little while -- glad I dropped in today to see your post. Congrats on finishing up the new project. Can't wait to hear it -- in the mean time will enjoy these old ones.

Craig,
Well done! Congratulations! Composition wise these songs are stunners ! The arrangement is perfect! Performance wise these songs are stunners. The Vocals are outstanding!

Please forgive me, and/or ignore me but....I would work on the clarity and definition of the individual instruments in the mix, and the spacial dimension and how all of the elements interact with each other. That being said, I don't know what you had to work with, it sounds like there is some tape hiss.
Still, it's good to know that you teach music, your students are very fortunate.

Okay, I went to the second web address EVERYTHING sounds great ! As a matter of fact, it sounds so good I just bought/downloaded the EP from itunes.
I can't wait for the new release!

You guys ROCK
