My DP 6.01 has been starting up pretty slow...As soon as the project opens and all windows pop up, all the faders go to maximum height and hang there for about a minute with the mac "spinning ball of death" and then I am able to playback the project. Is this normal or should the project open and be imediately available to play??? DP 6.01/Waves SSL Bndle/MacPro 3.0Ghz Quad/6 Gig Ram/Mac 10.5.5
I can't remember when this started, but just wondering if this is normal???

Re: Slow DP Startup anyone?
Trashing DP prefs should be mandatory after or before installing 6.0.1 - this version requires it more than any version I can remember in the past.

Re: Slow DP Startup anyone?
DP5.13 is quite slow to start up sometimes when im opening projects that use VIs.. Still, i'm only talking 5, 10 or at worst 15 seconds here.. A minute seems like alot!
For clean projects startup is almost instant...
Should be the same in DP6, I would of thought.

Re: Slow DP Startup anyone?
DP 5.13 takes a very long time to start up when opening up older pre-DP5 projects, in my experience. At least three minutes on my setup.
Are you talking about opening old projects or starting a new one?
