Strange Install Message

Post by DP Fan »

I just installed DP5.13 on 10.5.5. When I try to open the program, it does the audio unit examination. A box comes up telling me to choose a basic path. I've never gotten that message before. I'm not sure if that's asking me where the audio units are? I try to choose a folder, but eventually just skip it. It scans all the files/plug ins, but DP still won't open. Does anyone have any insight on this? DP5.13 will run on 10.5.5, correct?

Do you have any virtual instruments that use sound libraries? It sounds like a message Ivory, BFD, MSI etc would give asking your to locate their sound libraries. Sometimes there are dialog boxes obscured behind the one you are seeing. Try using Expose (Possibly F-11 or F-12) to view all the open windows on your desktop and see if there is another message that is currently hidden.
