I just started playing with M52 again and I'm right back to the same trap I got stuck in before, and I can't remember how I got out of it. I am pretty sampler ignorant.
I opened a new preset with a sample. After messing with it a while I realize I can't find the "sample info pane". I think that's because I'm in Loop Lab, even though it doesn't say that, and I didn't choose that.
How do I turn this into a regular sample? Why is this interface so freakin obtuse? I tried dragging it to another parts window (I think) with the "drag audio" button, but it just moved the sample over. I would like to keep my tuning and looping, etc.
thanks

how to get out of loop lab

Re: how to get out of loop lab
I changed the buffer size on my session and the waveforms in M5 went away. I closed it and reopened, closed the session and reopened, still gone. I closed DP and reopened and the waveforms were back, but the looping I had done was all gone. Eek. Took me 20 minutes to get this thing to loop right.
Re: how to get out of loop lab
Well, I guess I don't have to wory about that anymore.
I tried to drag it onto the part that was already there (slot 1) instead of a new part. It asked me about the part that was there and I chose discard. DP crashed. When I reopened it it said it couldn't find the sample. I tried to reload the original sample and it wouldn't, it's been permanently corrupted. It won't play in the finder or in AudioFinder. There also was no sample in the M5 preset folder, even though I'm fairly certain I chose to save the sample and preset. Only the preset was there.

Re: how to get out of loop lab
So, no one knows how to get out of loop lab and have the sample work as a regular preset without starting over? Maybe it's not possible.

I'm not sure... if I wasn't sure... I'd going looking through the M5 manual for the answer I guess?

Yeah, I've looked through the sections I thought would help, what I haven't done is read the whole thing. Someday.
