Ultralite mk3 high pitch noise and sound cut problems

I have a brand new laptop which is optimized for audio...Windows XP SP2. Core2 Duo 2.5. SATAII hard drive, 4 GB DDR2 ram. very powerful and texas instruments firewire.
And this is my problem with my new Ultralite mk3:
everything is working perfectly until randomly it cuts the sound and makes a very high pitch beep of half a second... sometimes two beeps.. very very high frequency... and when it does this... the sound is cut also... also if something was being recorded... the recorded wav is corrupted at that point.. but the beep is not in the wav.... anyway... very very annoying... because it's very random... sometimes it doesn't do it.. sometimes it does it 5 times in 5 minutes... but I've noticed a thing... I think it hasn't done it when the soundcard is on for some hours.... maybe it needs some time to operate.. ??? I can't believe it... It always does it when I'm using the ASIO driver... if I use the soundcard as a mixer it goes well... but I would have purchased a mixer for that... not a soundcard... I want to use ASIO... the buffer is at 256.... not very low. I have tried all buffers... same result.

But I have another problem... recording MIDI problem.... sometimes some very long notes appear as recorded in the track... but of course I haven't pressed those keys... all the rest of the notes are there... but also very randomly it records very large notes all in the same note... in a large continuous note.... annoying...

I think Motu should test their products more before releasing them to the public... I'm returnung this piece with my 30 days money back.. if I don't see a solution for this in 1 week.

the driver is 3.6.8.1359
firmware 1.0 and hardware 1.0
I haven't found any firmware or driver updates on the motu site yet... there are some for the ultralite.. but not ultralite mk3.

I have read here to disable other soundcards... ok I'm going to try and disable the internal soundcard of the laptop and I will update my tests here tomorrow.

i tried to reset my 828 mk3, after that the meters on the unit went crazy, it was not saving the cuemix configuration correctly... had to reboot it more than once to go back to "normal" but the high pitched noise were never solved till this day.

it just seems to me that those damn noises are kind of a signature of motu hardware. buy a motu unit and get high squeels for free with it!

ok I replace my new 828mk2 with problems (see the other topic) with this new ultralite mk3...
same problems as you but I've also sometimes a reboot crash ((
