Hi there. I need some help. I need to know what would be the best/most cost-effective computer system in order to run full orchestra + other softsynths. I currently use 1 Intel Mac. My question is more about computer hardware. Do you have thoughts as to whether I should get a PC to run everything else? Or another Mac??? If so what kind of computer specs do you recommend I get? I'm a little new to a lot of this stuff so I'm trying to get as many opinions as possible.
I plan to use the following:
*Digital Performer
*Gigastudio (but not for much longer since it's being discontinued
*Native Instruments:
Komplete 5 (incl.d Kontakt, Reaktor, absynth, Guitar Rig etc...)
*Spectrasonics:
Stylus RMX (essential!)
Atmosphere
*Propheads:
Reason
Recycle
*Plugins:
Waves Gold Bundle (great, but there are also other great bundles...or the UAD card would be an excellent way to go. Look it up).
Altiverb
Steinberg:
Virtual Guitarist (though it's now discontinued). May switch to Music Lab's 'Real Guitar' soon.
*East-West/Quantum Leap:
Symphonic Orch Gold XP
Choirs
Stormdrum
---Your kindest advice will be greatly appreciated!
