828MKII FW Not Recognized

Hello All,

I've got a 828MKII FW and the connection is not recognized. No plug & play prompts or anything. I've tried it on a Sony VAIO WinXP laptop, a Gateway WinVista laptop, and a desktop machine running XP.

I've installed software before connecting but no response. The device has the 1.01 firmware. I have noticed when I connect the firewire to the right side, the 48kHz blinks. When I connect the device in the same connection while off, and power on, the screen freezes at the MOTU 828 MKII intro screen and won't move forward.

I hope my info isn't overkill, but I wanted to provide as much info as possible.

Please advise.
