Pro Tools LE 7.4 Not Seeing MachFive 2 as plugin

Post by wweinberg »

Ilok installed, I just recently installed software and DVD sounds for both MOTU Electric Keys and MOTU MachFive v2.02 in my PC running Windows XP Pro and Pro Tools LE 7.4. Pro Tools sees Electric Keys as an Instrument Plugin but not MachFive 2. MachFive 2 does in fact boot up and plays presets in stand alone mode but there is horrible latency. I'm not able to insert MachFive as a plugin in ProTools since it does not appear under instruments or any other plugin catagory. Can anyone help or suggest what the problem might be? I'm brand new to this forum. Thanks

I don't know about your setup, but in mine, you need to setup a stereo instrument track and then Mach 5 2 only shows up in the "Multichannel" list. Select it and your good to go. It seems to me that Mach 5 1 used to give both a mono and stereo plug, but version 2 is stereo only as far as RTAS goes. Digital Performer adds in all the surround plugs as well as the stereo, but still no mono. Hope this helps,
