DP6 / DAE USERS

Post by magnetman »

I installed DP 6.01 last night....my front end is ProTools HD3 Accel with ProTools 7.4 / Mac OSX 10.4.8 on a G5 Dual 2.0 gHz. After mixing an existing DP 5.13 project for 30 minutes, black lines started appearing looking like they were linking the sends and plug-ins on the mixing board, then suddenly- all my TDM plug-ins simply disappeared! Of course I had saved up to a new version, so all was not lost- anyone else experience this?

Haven't seen that one, though ony 2 or 3 hours on 6.00 (not 6.01) because of problems you will find if you do a search for DAE here,i.e. plug in GUI problems, audio doesn't record from busses etc.
It's possible it's a 6.01 problem, but maybe more possible it's unique to your setup.
Probably won't make much difference, but 10.4.9 is a more commonly used version of Tiger.
Let it be known if you continue to have that problem.

Thanks- I don't believe that mac osx 10.4.9 was ever certified for this version of ProTools, although I'll finally be upgrading to Leopard next week. We'll see then!

10.4.9 works fine with Pro Tools, as does 10.4.10 and 10.4.11.
