Hi.
The LCD Display of my Traveler interface flickers, I mean it's brightness jumps from high to low (the best I can describe it).
Sometimes it's not readable at all from my viewable angle.
Any hints?

Re: Traveler LCD Flickers
It sounds like the LCD backlight is failing. I suppose it could also be a power problem. Does it make a difference if you use FireWire bus power of the DC power supply? Make sure that you put the FireWire Bus Power Enable switch in the right position. (It's on the side panel near the MIDI jacks.)
The leading cause of wrong answers is asking the wrong questions.
Re: Traveler LCD Flickers
I just got my Traveler back from MOTU- they fixed the crackling sound it was making, or sent me another unit: I don't know which. The one they sent me back also has a flickering and dimness problem that sounds like what your unit is doing. The flickering goes away after a couple of minutes but the display is MUCH dimmer than my first unit- it's hard to read in room light. I am running off the adapter and have the buss power disabled on the side.
I just sent a tech gram to MOTU and will let you know what they say.

It's no difference between DC PSU or Firewire Bus Power.1nput0utput wrote:It sounds like the LCD backlight is failing. I suppose it could also be a power problem.
