Magic Dave..tell us about Euphonix!!!

Post by toodamnhip »

Magic Dave..Please tell us about Euphonix support.....

When? What's the current hold up?....

It is the hottest controller system out there right now, many of us have or want it and it seems like we all agree it is taking too long for FULL support in DP...

Please clue us in!!!

Dave has been so nice about posting stuff here, but putting him on the spot like that is really unfair, IMO. You know MOTU (and most other companies) don't release info like that.

I would love to know as well, but even if MagicD had the info, I am sure MOTU would not allow him to give it out.....

I agree, and I don't expect him to answer.

Still, getting the silent treatment from both companies (not Dave personally) is not encouraging.

At this point I'm glad I only purchased part of the system..

Is that news to you? :) Every company you deal with (software or not) will not commit to a timeline or admit to a problem.

I do know from what I've heard that they are working on it. I don't own one (wish I did!) so I have no way of knowing if it were in 6.01 anyway.

I didnt want a release date...just a little info on what things are involved with the delay as it seems a bit egregious...

Well, you know they're not going to get into the nitty gritty of just what the delay is, right? It's still working (albeit sub-optimally) in some sort of Mackie emulation mode, right? I know that's not much of a consolation, but I heard something like that.

Someone in MOTU tech support told me that DP 6 has been ready to support the Eucon protocol for a while. They are waiting for Euphonix to finish their control surface plug-in for DP.

HAL: Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.
