Hey:
I'm having a similar problem with pops and cracks with my audio buffers set to 128. I am running xp on a dual core desktop with enough ram (4gigs) fast hd's (2 x 500 gig satahd) and TI chipset FW. I use ableton live DAW, which works great with buffers at 128, no clicks/ pops or latentcy when i record DI gituar. I can have a large project opened with a bunch of plugins/vst's and experience no pops or cracks and little strain on CPU. My problems start when I open up an editing program from within ableton (in ableton you can open a fovorite audio editor like soundforge from within ableton itself) The editiong program is so full of pops and crack i cant even hear the sample I'm editing. I tried putting buffers in audio console to 1024 or higher. This seemed to make the pops and clicks less audiable, but did not completly fix the problem. Oddly enough, my CPU doesnt even budge when I have ableton and soundforge opened at the same time, but the audio pops and clicks like the cpu is being maxed out I do not want to be constantly going into the audio console to change buffer setting everytime i want to edit a sample. The ironic thing is that when I use a program with ableton via rewire (like rebirth/reason etc) I dont hear any pops or cracks. Has anyone else had similar problems? I have had the 828MK3 for a little over a week and I've had no other problems with it, not even driver installation problems that many other people are having so Im kind of dissapointed that i cnt accomplish a simple task like having 2 programs running. I have a strange feeling it might have something to do with the motu AISO driver. Any ideas? Wht are others with the MK3 running buffers at? Thanks
