Ultralite MK3 opinions?

Hello all,
I think I have narrowed down my search to replace my 1820M, as I need an interface that works with both XP & OSX, with the new MOTU.
The only thing that I am a litle worried about is the slight decrease in audio performance from the convertors in comparison with the "mastering class" ones on the EMU.
Has anyone got the mk3 yet that can comment on the quality?

You'll miss the ease of operation of PatchMix but with everything there is a learning curve. My 1820M is a door stop, and I don't have anymore snap, crackel, or pops in my recordings.
