Hey folks,
My DP DAW has been based around a G4 Dual 1 Gig for the last 7 years. I am considering going portable, upgrading to a MacBook Pro (last years model is on blowout at Macmall- 2.2 Ghz 2 Core Duo) and DP 6. Do you know what kind of performance I can expect from this new platform in comparison to the G4 w/ DP 4 (i.e. track counts, plugin inserts, # of busses, etc.)? I guess there will also be the $200 upgrade cost to DP 6 . . . am I missing any other hidden costs?
Thanks,
Mike

Re: MacBook Pro?
you ll get hudge performance increase !
More than 50% more fx & vst
The track count should be at least similar, maybe more ( same disc speed )
