Surround monitoring
So now is the time. I really need to upgrade to a surround setup. I already have a pair of dynaudio BM5A and a cheap Polk Audio subwoofer.
So here's my questionning:
- Do I upgrade my existing setup by buying 3 more BM5A and the matching sub BM9S?
- Do I really need a surround controller like the Dangerous Music Monitor ST/SR?
- Is my BM5A are good enough for pro work (I think yes) or do I need to upgrade (with the xtra money involved) to something better?
- What would be better?
What are you guys using for surround work? Monitors, controller...

I'm soon to be setting up my new room, so I also have an interest in other's setups. I figure most of my work will still be stereo, but need to have surround available for scoring work.
My current plan is to install a consumer surround system, using a surround receiver to handle bass management. I know I want a consumer system in the room, regardless, for confidence monitoring (post Dolby, using the receiver's decoder), but am not sure if I will be ready to make the investment in active surrounds and bass management.
Which reminds me... I have never explored the DP manual on this point. Does the Surround plug in do bass management? I recall it handles levels and delays...
Anybody willing to weigh in here?

Remember that DP does not encode the surround channels .
