Speaking of weird MIDI when i rewire Reason and record to DP4.52s sequencer, the machine will start playing back some of the recorded 9or not recorded) notes almost a minute after i hit stop. It's like i have a player piano sometimes...

This may be my setup issue, i had MIDI close to worked out in 3.11/OS9 but OSX has been giving me fits. Any ideas about the "ghost" player?

I have noticed that with Reason, I have to shut off the core MIDI or my controller 64 sustain data doesn't work right. Anyone else noticed this?

I just noticed the sustain pedal works backwards on all synths too.

Sustain pedal works backward on all synths? What are you talking about? Are you just talking about Reason?

I'm not following this well, but sustain pedal works fine in DP as far as I can see. Maybe you guys are talking about something specific.

Yeah, with reason only. i tried all of my controllers and it's backwards. The ghost notes in reason are maddening. Maybe i have it setup wrong but no other program does it and it's so random i can't figure out how it's even doing it. I magine tracking a piano part, hitting stop, save, walking outside for a smoke and the piano part starts playing back most of what you played close to a minute later.

You're freaking me out, Fibes. Say it isn't so!

Well, I do hope you find the answer to that one, PRONTO. And I'm glad I'm not currently using Reason. If that were a problem across the board, I'd be dead in the water. I need my 64s! When I'm using a Yamaha Disklavier, I even have to use C64 as continuous data rather than switches. Can't have that going south on me. And if I use any more bad metaphors in this post, I'm going to fall off the turnip truck and sound like a slackjawed yokel.

I tried a bunch of VIs on the system and they all work fine but reason is still giving me fits. Maybe i need to do a reinstall or something. Aaaahh!

Those ghost notes IMO are hard to fathom.

I came out to the studio this morning, fired everything up and no sustain pedal.(#64) Reason was working perfectly, checked the MIDI monitor in DP and it was receiving cc64, no problem there, but DP was not recording or engaging the pedal. Went to "Setup/set input filter" and noticed that somehow the selection for controllers was deselected. I reselected and "Bobs your uncle" everything is back to normal. I've read some of the posts with this and similar problems. If nothing else this may be the place to start. I have no idea why the radio button was deselected, but I had updated to 10.3.9. I hope this will help anyone else that's experiencing strange behaviour of this and other controller protocols.
