What computer do you use to run it?jlstcui wrote:Hmmm. I did a bit of DP6 manual reading the other day, and though I haven't yet installed the new version (I'm happily running 5.13), I did decide to apply one of the manual's general suggestions: change work priority to "High."
Since then, I've had considerable trouble getting any decent number of VI's to playback together properly. I'm thinking of trying "Medium" again, if not low.
I run an older MOTU audio interface, the 1224. Is it possible that I should now be thinking of trading up to a newer interface, and if so, which would be best?

That's my question too...
Does putting the work priority on Low give one extra computer power to run VI's?
When the comp is crunching, is it a valid thing to try when one has an 828 mkII for example?

I've had years of trouble free performance through my RME ADI 8 DS, Digiface and HDSP card. Recently after installing DP6 and running a few VIs and recording a few guitar tracks I ran into crackle city. I thought I had to go buy something new...
Anyway, I think this post has cleared up part of my dilemma ie work priority. (I'll test it in a few minutes). An update should clear up the rest.
Thanks UNIs.

Success is just one more plugin away! And happiness is as close as your next upgrade.

I think I set mind to Medium a long while ago and have not touched it since. I don't see much use in "High." Either the app works or it doesn't.
