I really don't think it can be attributed to dedicated hardware. So many native programs work just fine... I think you have Nuendo, Gary? The fade capacity of Nuendo has always been far superior to DP in user options, sound and implementation. Of course they stole the fade editor from Sonic, but at least they do render fades in RAM in real time.Timeline wrote:Dedicated hardware.

Imagine this, guys... in Nuendo you can be listening to a file while you put fade ins and fade outs on it, and then you can render that file WITH fades back to disk while it is still playing with no dropouts or hiccups. You can listen along to a file and do the upcoming crossfade when you see it coming and then hear it go by.
I have been asking for better fade capability in DP for years and years.
