Mbox Alternative?

I'm new to DP 4.52 and no particular expert with OSX 10.3.x

I am unable to get a reliable work environment for DP 4.52 using my Mbox and Digi coreaudio driver 6.7 Judging from the releated posts on the forum I am not alone. I don't see where anyone has found a fix for the crashing and "audio hardware problem" errors in DP.

Anyway, I'm willing to dump the Mbox for this application and would like to know what others might recommend as a trouble free alternative?

I just need the functional equivalent of Mbox, not a lot of inputs. Would prefer USB or FW.

Try updating your core audio to the current 6.9 free from Digi.
I've had no problems at all with the m-box and DP 4.52.

Thanks for the suggestion. They must have just release 6.9 - I remember downloading 6.7 less than two weeks ago (I think).

I will give it a try for sure. You may have just prevented me implementing my usual solution: Throwing money at the problem.
