Hi all,
I have never been able to get the latest version of Pluggo to work. I get this message (when DP launches and scans the new plugins for the 1st time after installing Pluggo):
"There was a serious internal resource error in Pluggo AU. Please contact Cycling '74 for help.
plug-in: Laverne"
Well of course before I contact Cycling, does anyone else get this? I removed Laverne from the plug-in list. Restarted, etc. Still get the same msg.
I'm running the latest DP version on an iMac Intel.
Thanks in advance.[/img]

Can't load pluggo
iMac 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 3 GB memory, OS X v10.6.1; DP 6.02; Absynth 4.0.2, PSP's MixPack 2, Cycle '74's Pluggo, AmpliTube, Motu 828; Alesis QS6, G&L Invader (1985); Parkwood 360M guitar; Line 6 Pod; MOTU Fastlane, Radio Shack mic
Pluggo still reports Laverne, whether it's in the Pluggo folder or not, until you run the Pluggo AU scan again. Maybe even worth it to just try and run the Pluggo AU scan again with laverne in there, then try launching DP? Maybe the first scan just didn't quite go well.
Regardless, whenever you change anything in your Pluggo folder (whether adding or subtracting) you have to re-scan the Pluggo folder and update the Pluggo AU via the Pluggo AU scan (in your Pluggo folder in applications)

Re: Can't Load Pluggo
hey mattymac; found the answer on a forum; possibly cycling74's forum; pity they didn't have the brains to send it to me once they found a solution!
from the 361 installer; run the cleaner.
reinstall.
remove every virtual instrument [pgs-1 etc.; INC. m2m!] to a temp folder, from library/audio/plugins/vst/pluggo.
run au scan again.
launch DP.
if DP works; quit it and drag back the temp removed VI's.
run au scan again.
with a little luck; pluggo may be restored to you! it worked for me last night; for the first time in months i have the full pluggo again.
luck!

Thanks for this, but after I installed DP6, I installed Pluggo and it works fine - no problems. Since you were hopping around forums, are there any forums out there that can tell me what MacOS Error 18 is? I posted this to MOTU Techlinks, this forum and about 1/2 dozen other forums around the web and got hundreds of views between them all and NO ONE has responded. I'll try to call MOTU on Monday.
I only get that error when I launch DP projects on pre-2008 projects. Very odd and frustrating. Obviously 90% of my projects are from pre-2008! I'm desperate!

re: can't load pluggo
huh
well, la-de-dah! DP6! how nice for you [deep, bitter, sarcasm]..
i'm STILL waiting for mine!
i dunno about error 18, but Apple are the guys, more likely than motu [but there's nothing on apple support site]. you should have a console log entry which is useful for motu/apple.
have fun using dp6.
