dumb question?

Post by majdid »

one simple thing i used to do in my previous setup, using an m-audio usb 2 channel interface, is to simply route my guitar dry signal to one of cubase chanels, add any vst plugin and listen to the result in real time.

with th 828 mk3, im not able to achieve that, tried all i could think of but didnt work! any advice?

my setup is simple, guitar to analog input 3 and 4 (coming out from a line 6 podxt), bus routing disabled in cuemix, a single channel in cubase with asio direct monitoring enabled, routing back the audio input 3-4 to the main output...

in the page 66 of the Windows manual of 828, they say that monitoring from the daw is possible (mic signal is patched-thru...) but i dont really get it.

If ASIO direct monitoring is enabled, then the input signal is being patched through the interface directly to the outputs and it is not being processed by the computer, which is why you don't hear the insert effects when the track is record-enabled. Disable ASIO direct monitoring.
