I've posted about this matter in another topic.I've tweaked a lot and done everything imaginable.Even changed all the capasitors on the power supply.Regarding the pc and the software side ,I also tried everything.
My 896 worked flawlessly for years ,by the way through a VIA chipset card.Here is the latest on this issue:
I have realized that changing the slot of the pci firewire card does have an effect on the behaviour but still the problem exists.Yesterday I changed the slot ,now it's on IRQ 22.
It worked for 30min and it froze.I got the famous blue screen with the following message:

Then I restarted the pc and it began to work again for an hour or so ...
Any ideas ?
Is this a problem of the 896 or it's pc related ?
I'm running XP SP1.The drivers of the 896 are the old ones that came in the box.Can't install newer versions .The pc just freezes.
