No. Windows can only display the audio I/O port names that are published to the OS by the interface driver. Mac OS X has a feature where it can display either the port names published by the driver or custom names specified by the user. In order for this to work under Windows, Microsoft would have to add such a feature.Klaus wrote:Thanks for reply
So it's up to MotU to program it

This is the most retarded thing ever. How hard is it for MOTU to just put a little text box into the CueMixFX GUI next to each channel that allows the user to write whatever text they want? Who cares if it's linked to the audio driver ports? It doesn't have to be this complicated.
Also why does MOTU think that it's a good idea to limit the horizontal size of the new CueMix window? Are they still using 17" CRT monitors in their office?

I'm facing the same issue here. Since I use almost every connection incl ADAT A&B and also have five different mixes it's a real confusion. I struggle with this all the time.
I also use the MOTU in my band when we play live and man is it ••••ed up... Try to adjust something quick and at the same time stay focused playing on stage... good luck!
If MOTU can find a way around this I'm gonna get rid of it.
So, PLEASE all MOTU representants!!! do something for us to be able to put an label on each channel.

Surprising how you can make such a complex piece of gear and leave out fundamental stuff like window resize and channel custom label.
The fact that you can rename the signal on the MAC is still not enough in my mind...you want BOTH the signal name as it is on the equipment for easy connection PLUS a custom label to remember what you are doing with this input/output.
