If you have a totally reproducible bug...report to motu ASAP...
(preferably so fast that motu will have the time to release .01 before I receive my DP6 upgrade..)
Also, I wouldn't be surprised that there seems to be a couple of AU related bugs as there seems to be big changes in the AU implementation...I bet there are a few plug-in makers that have made workarounds to make it work with DP, that now would work anyway.... except the plug sees MAS and tries the workaround... which doesn't work....

This thread is useful, but it's important people include their basic specs when they post these little bug reports. Which Mac, OS version, RAM etc. They're not very relevant w/o them. In fact I wish everyone included that info in their sig. It'd save time and cut down on a lot of bandwidth. thx

Also, could we change the topic title to something like "possible conflicts with DP6?"
Given that everyone's systems and third party add-ons differ, and that many of the cited issues have yet to be cross-tested and confirmed on different systems, the term "bug" is a misnomer.
There could be many variables that result in negative outcome outside of straight coding error. Invariably, many of the purported "bugs" on these sort of lists end up being other conflicts.
URS Classic Console Strip Pro is broken, but it's probably related to the earlier post where as it has something to do with the newer version of Mas Audiounit Support.bundle seeing how when I go back to 5.13 it's now broken there too. I was able to fix it by copying back the older bundle (version 1.6.1) Unfortunately I'm using this plug a lot right now so can't work on current mixes in DP6. I wonder if DP 6 can use this version of the audiounit support bundle?
BFD2 is wonky too timing wise if the interface is open. Seems you have to do certain things for it to play back in time most likely do to the vi prerendering thing that's going on. My guess is that many of the vi's are having this issue.

I'd like confirmation on this but unless something is very idiosyncratic with my machine, I'm pretty sure this is solid.

Trilogy and Atmosphere only work with a wrapper on an intel mac, and you know how that goes. I would wait for the upgrades in September to Omnisphere.
I sort of get a chuckle out of some folks who complain about not being able to get work done when switching to the latest upgrade. I would rather be working in an older version and writing music, than flying by the seat of my pants on the "bleeding edge of technology".
God bless you folks for letting us know what works and does not work! I love you guys!

The one thing I did fail to put in my specs is that I'm NOT in Leopard but in 10.4.11. Sorry if that led to any confusion here.

Can someone tell me how to fix my Fab Filter Pro-C comp? It wouldn't work in 6 and now it won't work in 5.11. What steps do I need to take to fix this? I have a complete system backup from before I installed DP6. What can I drag from there to fix this issue?
Kubi wrote:Get back the Audio Unit Info Cache from the backup, or better yet the whole DP Preferences folder.
Also the entire MAS plug-in folder, which includes your original MAS Audio Unit wrapper thingie.
(Of course after doing this you can NOT run DP6 again without re-installing!!!)
In case something got messed up, I'd also get the actual Fab Filter plug from the backup.
That should do it and get you back to where you were in DP5.11. Update to 5.13 while you're at it...
I ended up just replacing the new 1.5 version of the the MAS Audio Units Support Bundle with the old 1.3 Support Bundle. DP6 seems to work fine with that -- for now -- and the Fabfilter Pro-C is now working.
I don't know if this will cause other problems with other plugs, but for now it doesn't seem to. Proverb is working with the old Support Bundle, too.
Thanks. You gave me the info I needed to get this done.
Oh, 5.13 has some issues and restrictions that I can't deal with. I can't remember what they are at the moment, but there were one or two major ones and a few minor ones that kept me away. 5.11 has been really good to me.
1. UAD-1 parameter adjustment bug confirmed here. Best way to reproduce it is to touch the gain reduction knob in the LA2A; on my system it immediately jumps to max reduction and cannot be moved from there.
2. Several NI plugs crash DP when instantiated. Most notable B4II (but not the original) and PRO-53.
Replacing the MAS AU support bundle from DP6 with the 5.13 version fixes all of this, as near as I can tell.
EDIT: not surprisingly, replacing the MAS AU bundle with the old one removes some of the new functionality such as VI pre-rendering (and with it, VI inclusion in bounces).

That's good news! Clearly VI Pre-rendering is not ready for prime time. This sounds like it might be a way we can work with DP6 until MOTU fixes the problem.

Yes, that would be amusing except apparently installing DP6 effects 5.13. Setting DP6 aside to get "work done" in 5.13 is not so simple once you've installed.
Yeah guys, please back up your boot drive and audio files before you try DP6. I'm going back to my previous back up right now...
Since there's a few reports of everything being fine, I'm wondering if I'm having problems because I'm using old projects that have the old SD II de-interleaved files, or if it's one of my plug ins...
I would be happy to give up VI pre-rendering for now if everything else would stabilize.
