MOTU driver 3.6.7.4 anyone?

Post by Kajel »

Hey there,
I just got a new asus laptop with a fast penryn processor. One of the first things I did was download the MOTU drivers for my 828mkII, but then I noticed that
A. At the same buffer settings between my laptop and desktop system, the laptop has a higher latency.
B. 32 sample buffer is not selectable anymore.

I read a few topics here and came to the conclusion that the new drivers are a bit crappy apparently. Now I want to install older drivers, but they have to be vista compatible, because the laptop runs Vista home premium (there's sketchy driver support from Asus to run xp, so I won't go that route unless really needed, and so far the rest runs great). That probably means that 3.6.7.4 is my best bet.
I have googled extensively and could not find those drivers anywhere.

Could anyone upload them for me?
Much thanks!

That doesn't help me at all. I am running 32 bit vista. And besides that the version number you are mentioning appears to be from June 2008, at least the 32 bit version of that driver is. It's also the latest driver on the MOTU website.

They also have a 32 bit version. This is at least the 2nd version posted in June, the first was I think May with a June release date. I have copies of the last two and they are different. But if you must have the eirlier virsion I believe I saw someone post it on this WEB site or at least a link to it.
