James,

You're right. I'm done with Brad. I'm also done with Sweetwater after buying tens of thousands of dollars of product from them for allowing him to represent them. Yep. I'm voting with my dollars. I will probably also stop posting here, though I've never done a lot. I will keep reading though, until you decide otherwise.

I hope you hang on to people you have here that have real experience, knowledge, and are willing to share it. Gearslutz has been destroyed by Fletcher and his ilk, and letting sales pimps who spew "knowledge" from their catalog database "talk-point bullets" get away it with erodes actual, useful knowledge. At least Fletcher has experience. This place is ripe for the gear pimp picking, and Brad's self glorifying attitude of late set me off.

I apologize to you, Timeline, Monkeyman, Frodo, Ninjashredder and those who contributed actual knowledge and valid opinions to this post. Sorry about the bad vibes. I'm going to go make records instead.

Here's hoping DP6 lives up to it's hype.

Cheers

Hey B12. Maybe you could do the same thing I did with your PT rig and post some pics here so we could see any differences, eh?

You owe us dude! :)

EXPERIENCE? If you really think I don't have experience, then I suggest you go do your homework on my career.

My offer still stands if anyone can translate this sentence into English. I'll give Brad my credit card number.

Brad PM me if you want to compare resumes. I would never pretend to be a "sales professional". Just 30 years of making recordings here.

Nice edit, by the way. I don't need to "cut your tongue out" you never fail to mangle it for yourself.

Um, I never asked for your credit card---so that just makes no sense. I'm also not trying to compare resume's here, you're claiming I have no exerpience. I'm happy you have 30-years of making recordings, that's great!! Maybe you should keep focusing on that instead of making it your job to feel upset because you don't like what I post. We're adults here, skip what I post....don't let it upset you, life shouldn't be that difficult to get hungup on what an individual posts in a user forum---especially when that has nothing to do with you personally.

I wear a target because of my career, that goes with the territory---but I'm not a label, my track record in my career speaks for itself.

Have a great day! :D
Thank you,

Thank you. You make my point for me.

Your attitude and the way you conduct yourself make you a target, not your career.

I'm going to say this just one more time, bassie12. Nobody is a "TARGET" here okay? Just lay off... nobody needs you to jump all over Brad about something. Thanks.

Hey guys. I've been away on vacation, so I'm coming into this thread on the back side. Back in the day, square wave tests were used frequently to give a quick idea of what a device was doing. The three things to look at are rise time, hold time (the plateaus on the wave form) and ringing/overshoot. I find the test informative for what it is and thank you, Timeline, for the post.

As far as dissing Sweetwater and Brad is concerned, lets be cool. I am probably one of the worst offenders when it comes to destroying the English language, so I can sympathize when someone screws up a sentence or two. As far as his knowledge is concerned, Brad's not an EE and has never claimed to be one. I don't think he understood the conditions of the original test and made a simple mistake....Relax, we're all here to share and have fun. 8)

I'm actually rooting for more vitriol. That was a great way to kill the last 30 minutes of my work day! How about Round 4? DING. DING. DING.

Dangit! I feel like I just got my hand slapped, and worst of all...I had it coming. Would it be alright if I sit in the corner and wear this dunce hat for a bit?

No need. :D It's just that there's been some tenseness the last week or so in a few threads and I hate to jinx what appears to be a lull in the action. :D
