Post by trunk79 »

the MIDI never worked properly on my mk3 so i decided to update to the latest drivers on motu site, unistalled old drivers, shut down, installed newer 32-bit usb2/fireiwre drivers all ok so far, power up mk3, 1st driver motuaudio installs fine, 2nd driver GSIFaudio gets to the file in the install wdmaud.drv i think and i get the error cyclic redundancy error, then the same thing happens for the last few part of the install, please help im using texas instrunments FW card and have also tried on my other fw card on pc no luck

Re-download the driver and start over. Sounds like the first attempt ended up with a corrupt download.

The latest update fixes some bugs in the FW. First uninstall the old drivers, then with a fresh download, turn the power off to the 828mk3 and install the new drivers. If that completes run the procedures for updating the 828mk3 firmware. I did all this last night an it worked fine. It was a new install running the 828mk3 for the first time on a newly built computer. Have not had much time to play with the 828mk3 except to try a few of its I/O s and play sounds from the computer, so far so good. I/' running an Extreme Machine with Vista Ultimate 64.

There is a nice free utility out there called CCleaner, Google it, it may help clean out more. I'm now running June 30th version of the drivers with no problems.
