Exporting to Logic??

Post by lumisuto »

Hi!

I'm having trouble exporting files to open in Logic Pro 8 in omf. The document can be opened but even after I input the correct tempo all the audio regions get in the wrong position except the ones starting at zero. I'm also getting stereo tracks as two mono tracks but I suppose that could be normal with omf. What could be the problem here? What are the right settings to export the document?

I had the same problem with Logic.

Here is what works for me:

1) make sure you have enable omf Logic compatibility when you export from DP.

2) open a new file in Logic.

3) set the correct sample rate

4) set the correct bpm

5) now import the omf file to Logic.

Everything should be ok.

hope it helps

I suspect that's because the audio is put in the 'right' place before you set the tempo, and then they move with the tempo change (as you would expect) - can you 'lock' tracks to timecode position in Logic? That would be the only way to stop them from moving after a tempo change.

Mono tracks is normal with OMF. Doesn't sound like you're doing anything in the export process. It's a pity that OMF doesn't allow for tempo maps to be included.
