I am hoping I havent joined that club of unhappy people who are having these issues.
I have the latest firmware installed and the latest drivers too.
I am running in Win xp sp2 using a sample buffer of 512.
Using at 44khz and 16bit
When using the device in session I will get the occaisional random glitch. Lasts no more than a second or 2 but this is not like the glitching you get when there is latency or a lack of processing power. Its like something is interfering with the device. During an 'attack' All the level indicators on the device spike and throw some crackles thru my monitors.
I cant repeat the problem within my DAW but it will happen at least 4 or 5 times in any session. One thing I did notice tho was that this behaviour happened once before when i was watching some videoclip some1 sent me in Windows Media Player classic. - Could it be that something is interfering with the Motu or some kind of device sharing issue?? I dont usually have other apps open within my DAW just the currently in use file.
I bought this device based on the superb reputation it has, its really disappointing to be having these issues. I know its known to work better on macs but hopefully I dont need to change my computer to fix this problem?
Can anyone give me any suggestions of things to try
so far I have tried changing the firewire cable
thanks in advance
