remote processor power?
Is it possible to use the processing power of a remote computer as supplement?

Yes and no. The capability is built into the Mac OS X Leopard (and maybe Tiger) but as far as I know it is only accessible via the OS X Server version and is also available if you are using Final Cut Pro suite, but only in the FCP suite, not other programs.anselm wrote:Is it possible to use the processing power of a remote computer as supplement?

That'll give a bit more info on the specific technology. Go to Apple and search for the XGrid (or whatever it is called) and you'll get their OS X server page.
Hopefully, someday they will make this available so we can all have supercomputers!
