Firewire Audio interface motu 828mk1 Windows 2000 does it?

Post by timestretch »

Found a great article:

...MOTU and Cakewalk have worked closely together to bring FireWire audio to Windows 2000 under WDM, and we're thrilled with the performance...

Read more at:

If sombody got more time than I please provide some feedback.

Judging by the recent drivers etc, it looks like they didn't made it far from Windows 2000...

Heh!

I cannot complain, my 828mkII is running great on my system and I have every sympathy for those having problems. However:
MOTU is still the first and only company to ship comprehensive WDM support for USB, Parallel, FireWire and PCI.
Uhm......if we're still talking about parallel ports, perhaps it's time to find a slightly newer article??

I have been searching, tweaking with my mk1 for a long time on Win sp1/sp2. The hotfix, the updates you name it. And I know Is nothing wrong with the hardware, works perfectly with a Mac, which I don´t own.

Like the topic says, Im talking about an old product, the Mk1. That´s the reason why I went "back" researching... I´m sure Motu is more concerned about quality thats why they concentrate on Apple´s market.

When I have time I´ll will try to Install windows 2000 on a separated hd, but In the meantime, if somebody already tried it out...Let us know please..
