Hi everyone,
I am working on a track in Reason 4 and I am trying to incorporate some hardware synths that I want to sequence in DP. The problem I am having is that the tempo track I made in Reason isn't controlling the tempo in DP. In the DP help/documentation, it says that if DP's tempo control is set to tempo slider, I can sync to Rewire tempo control. I set this up yesterday and it isn't working that way.
Has anyone had similar experiences to this situation? I haven't used DP much, but I find Reason a much easier environment to work in and if I can setup these controls in Reason I would really prefer it.
Any suggestions are certainly welcome.
Thanks,
Jeremiah

Hi
Go to the Propellerheads Support:

There is an article "Setting up MOTU Digital Performer as a ReWire host application". Reading it might help you.
You can also export Reason MIDI file and import it to DP.

Re: Using tempo/transport control in Reason to control DP
Save yourself a headache, export the MIDI file into DP, and let DP control the tempo. If you learn how to use the sequencer in DP, I can guarantee that before long the Reason sequencer will start to seem very primitive. Definitely worth the effort.miah8000 wrote:I haven't used DP much, but I find Reason a much easier environment to work in and if I can setup these controls in Reason I would really prefer it.
I've tried many combinations with Reason over the years, and the one that seems to work best is to basically use it as a sound module rack, and do absolutely everything else from DP, including mixing.
