best monitor with dp and video

I'm trying to decide which monitor to get with my g5. I was going to get the apple 23" but I read about alot of problems ( pinkish tint) that has been confirmed by apple on the 23" nd 30" monitors. Now looking at the new dell 24" which is getting a lot of rave reviews, although it may be too soon to tell. What is everyone using..especially those whose are also doing video. looking forward to feedback jt

Interesting shootout between Apple and Dell 20inch wide flat panel here - have seen Dell for pretty cheap at dealmac.com w coupons etc. (one deal expired on the 25th of may for $396.85 shipped from Dell Home. for example, but there always seems to be new deals/specials coming up on them.) But yuck it is a dell. Anyway article is worth reading, although slightly smaller than what you are looking for:

I'm using dual Sony 19 inch TFT LCD monitors for the computers, and Panasonic 13 inch Pro video monitors next to them for video editing. An Akai 42 inch plasma monitor for client preview.
5.6 inch TFT LCD monitors on each copy stand for ADR,
as well as a 27 inch Sony monitor in booth.

JT, I recently bought the Dell 24" from Dell on a promo sale: $950 (something like that, $1,045 with tax). It is a killer monitor. Simple set up no probs what so ever. It makes my 19" ViewSonic look dull and washed out in comparison. I don't have an Apple to A/B against, but I can't imagine a better picture for the $$. 2 thumbs up on the Dell!

Yeah, That's what i heard. Is anyone running a dell 24" with the G5?

The newest 24 inch Dell actually faired better then the 23 inch Cinema Display with its rorating monitor an slighly better picture. But the Dell also lacks firewire and usb connections which Apple now incorporates on there monitors.
