Recording audio and fader automation problems?

I tried recording some audio and fader automation at the same time. The audio sound wave is shown in the tracks window, but when I hit stop, it disappears. I can play the audio and the automation works too, but I can't get any graphical displays at all. Happens in both DP 4 and 5. Any suggestions. This was just an experiment, but I would love to get it to work.

View Filters?

Go into Setup > Set View Filter and see if those parameters are checked on.

YEAH!!! That solved the problem! I think I was trying to do the same thing under Preferences. Thanks again!
Has anyone else had luck, good or bad recording volume automation while recording audio?
