And the longer any company holds a release, the bigger the backlash from customers if it is problematic.

Not attacking MOTU. Just that I've been there myself.
LOL... and the more the customer expects additional features (those that have been touted have already been shown to be working 4 months ago and counting).

Not attacking MOTU. Just that I'm here myself.

Well, being a new kid on the block, James has already graciously let me get away with one previous long rant.

Hey, by the way, anyone know what the new application icon looks like? I don't think I've seen it in any of the preliminary materials.

I've never been crazy about the v5 icon.

In terms of marketing, I think they should follow Ableton & Propellerheads and stick with a single recognizable icon, but I doubt that'll happen.

Im dying for that broadcast wav update in particular! im sick of converting ancient audio formats....
me too. that is the biggest issue for me. that will save hours everyday.

at least it will feel like that. waiting for conversions is worst.

ok faster bounces will be welcome too.

have you ever tried to bounce cleanfeeds for a 135 min Movie in other formats than sd2.

for aiff or wav you better get a good book.

Could be. Shame we have no way of getting a refresher peek. But I hope that they're spending more of their time on functionality and stability.

Man-- what if DP6 appeared looking totally different than it did at NAMM?

As long as it was stable and was better, who cares

Well as long as it doesn't look like logic :D

Can't see much, but have they used the phenomenon whereby both d and p can be written like flipped 6s?

Yes, this is all getting a bit like Cloverfield!

OMG can you imagine! - MIDI editing in a grainy, shaky handheld graphic editor, DP5 appearing again for brief moments during your projects, a big, angry monster tearing up your soundbites! :D

(....really bad script/ acting  )

By the way - I like this theory MOTU are waiting for the next apple update ... anyone know when the next apple update is likely to be?
content is the new style
