a bump with hopefully some luck.

I can't seem to find anything on these other than how much better they are than 3.6.8.1 for non- 828mk3 users.

yeah, they are.

I've had my traveler for about 2 1/2 years so my install drivers are WAY out of date

This discussion is worth reading

http://www.cockos.com/forum/showthread.php?p=176110

Midway down - It explains how to un-install all elements of the latest version MOTU drivers - so you may run your traveler with the lowest latency.

http://www.4shared.com/file/43007451/74f6c2a4/32fw.html
You can also go in and delete mfwaasio.drv from the System32 folder... and then re-install the old driver.

The latest drivers are non ideal for the older hardware.
1. They removed the 32-sampler buffer size.
2. They increased round-trip latency

I rolled back to v3.6.7.4

Interesting...

So what's the recommendation if I want to use a Traveler with a new 828Mk3?

thanks,

thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!!!!! :D

btw, motu's "official" answer was they are no longer offering these drivers. Bummer tude cause these 3.6.7.4 drivers cut my output latency in half

I can get down to about 2.5ms in and 2.8ms out at 48k and 128 buffer......that's pretty good, right?

I suspect there is no choice but to use the newer driver, and live with higher latency.

I have an 828 MKII on winXP with older low latency driver.

I use my 828MK3 on my Macbook. - so its a different environment, and different set of variables w OSX Core audio driver.

Between 2002 and 2006, MOTU was delivering decent interfaces that worked well on microsoft platforms.. But lately it sure feels like 1998 all over again, and their old school Pro mac attitude has returned. I'm not too impressed with their latest round of WinXP drivers, unfortunately their new gear requires these inferior drivers.

Okay I can live with the higher latencies since I'm mostly working with audio and monitoring live inputs via CueMix.

thanks,
Brad

Anyone know where i can get a copy of an older working driver? None of these links seem to be working.

Currently my DAW can't see the incoming audio signal at all - completely useless for recording!

If that's true, then they have rocks for brains. It's about time they surveyed their users to find out just how many PC users are using their products. They may just be thumbing their noses at more than half their user base.

I jumped ship from M-Audio to MOTU because of the same attitude. Does this mean that RME is the only real option for PC users these days? I hope not, because I have invested a lot in MOTU gear.
