If you don't need a channel strip, these things are incredible values! The Solo610 is basically the M610, but in a smaller and more affordable frame. Very rich tones, makes a killer DI for bass or other instruments. The Solo110 is their clean-gain version, basically taking from the 4110/8110 series. The new ISA One is the pre of the ISA range, but designed to compete with the UA products. A very cool feature is that it is somewhat of a 2-channel pre. WHat I mean is, there is a DI on it that has a separate signal path with it's own gain----so if you're going direct with an acoustic and want to record your vocal at the same time, it can be done on this one box. Pretty hefty feature! That's due to be out soon, I believe. I think I first touched it before Christmas.... so I can't remember exactly when, but soon.jlaudon wrote:Any thoughts on the Focusrite IAS One, or UA Solo preamps?

Thanks for the info - I'm starting to save for something nice - a great preamp/mic combination - mainly for vocals. The Mojave mic seems awesome for the price, and to find a preamp that fits nicely both in sound and price (around 800 bucks) is what I'll be hoping for. I have a dbx 376, which is ok, but after using my buddy's LA610, well...

Don't own them but from my research they both seem like decent pres.jlaudon wrote:Any thoughts on the Focusrite IAS One, or UA Solo preamps?
The UA Solo comes in two flavors, tube and solid state. My LA-610 is essentially a Solo tube with the guts of an LA2A compressor built in.
Sounds great if the Solo is the same hardware, just not rack mountable.
Success is just one more plugin away! And happiness is as close as your next upgrade.
I am looking for a pre and the focusriite liquid 4 pre looks real interesting but is more than I want to spend and I don't need more than 1 or 2 channels at a time.
Brad do you know if they have plans for a 2 channel liquid pre??it would be killer in a daw from what I am reading in SOS
thanks
