writing IDs for CD mastering
Is it possible to write IDs in DP to master a CD?
Has anyone done it?
Thanks,
Gary

DP cannot as already stated.
ISRC and disk info can be written with Jam but the CD writers on the newest 08 macs will not allow it even with that. The type of writer you need is a PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-110D or better.
Good luck.

Peak 6.01 is finally great
Been a Peak user since v3 and have endured many years of frustration. But Peak 6 is finally a thing of wonder.
All other previous versions of Peak were so buggy or counter-intuitive in design as to make the program virtually unusable.
Now, suddenly with v6, it has no rivals. Go figure...
Cheers,
Chad

If you have Logic Studio, or if you can upgrade to it, then you have WaveBurner, which is one of the best mastering suites there is.rukidding wrote:Is it possible to write IDs in DP to master a CD?

Yes I used it for the first time and it really is the business. Very very easy to use as well.Shooshie wrote:If you have Logic Studio, or if you can upgrade to it, then you have WaveBurner, which is one of the best mastering suites there is.rukidding wrote:Is it possible to write IDs in DP to master a CD?

Ah the joys of having a wife who owns it.
Creativity, some digital stuff and analogue things that go boom. crackle, bits of wood with strings on them that go twang

Yes, I have an unworkable version of WaveBurner purchased when it was owned by EMagic...the upgrade path obviously is no longer supported. Even then, it was a good app.Shooshie wrote:If you have Logic Studio, or if you can upgrade to it, then you have WaveBurner, which is one of the best mastering suites there is.
Since I can't look at it right this minute, the only "bug" I found back then was one of the mastering presets (maybe the multiband EQ) had a predetermined gate release, and you had to manually correct that or it would chop off reverb tails.

Oh, yeah and I hated it's copy protection scheme where you had to re-insert the original install CD every 3 months. It wasn't a matter of keeping up with the disc, but later versions of OS9, I think, made the reauthorization process painful and sometimes almost impossible.
