Thanks for the review metakinetics.

I'm glad someone has taken the time to tell us about the sound of this unit.

I am interested to see the quality of the converters, clock, eq, compression, and reverb.

Since this unit has come out very few that have purchased it have given much information on the sound quality.

Thanks again for taking the time to write this review.

Re: MOTU 828mk3 Review

I'd first of all like to thank everyone involved in this post for providing some extremely useful information and opinions on this device, and appologise for ressurecting an old post :P

I am considering buying a 828mk3 to replace my current Tascam US-122 (AWFUL, JUST AWFUL) interface. This isn't a professional setup it's just for home recording, the money isn't a problem and I was wondering whether people think the 828mk3 is actually a decent investment for someone such as myself. I haven't been able to find anything about fixes for the problems listed (although I have read the posts about the high pitched squealing through this and other MOTU interfaces.)

Rather than a run down of the pros and cons would anyone be able to just tell me whether it'd be a decent investment? Or is the future looking bleak for this model?

Many thanks! any help is appreciated.
