My new Ultralite sounds great through the headphones but no matter what I connect the analog outs to, they are too noisy to use. White noise, static, even zipper noise when adjusting CueMix faders - makes the unit totally unusable for critical application. I can just hook up the UltraLite in standalone mode with no audio inputs connected and all the outs (Mains, all Analog Outs) exhibit the same high level of internal hiss and interferance type noise. Tried different cables, different power supply, bus powered - you name it. Anyone have issues with these units? I'm using an Intel Duo Core MacBook with 2 Gb Ram, DP 5 and latest drivers from MOTU. Just trying to decide what to try next. Thanks for your bandwidth.

What comes to mind is a ground loop problem. If your problem is the same I had, everything was fine with headphones (because these are "floating" from an electrical point of view) and as soon as I connected the audio interface output to an amplifier there was a lot of computer noise in the output.
The idea is to connect the ground wire (the third pin in the AC outlet) of only ONE device in your setup. In mine, it is the power amplifier. I simply connected the laptop through a 2 pin AC connector (ground lift) and the noise was gone.
