Panning options
Option to pan the position not the balance of L/R for stereo tracks.
You can use the trim plugin but a global option to change the pan function would be good.

Pure luxury but ....
Play/ Rec buttons on every track on left side track list of graphic editor - eg just to the right of each highlightable track name.
Would save having to make a track active (the pencil) before play/rec enabling or having to jump back to TO window to make sweeping multiple play/mute changes.
Without this feature GE is like lying in a comfy hammock but being unable to reach your smoothie/ cocktail/ G'n'T / illegal substances without having to get out again.

watch it with this topic- a couple of months ago someone else posted a humorous "wishlist for DP7" topic which got banned to the Gripes page. I think James found it insulting to MOTU that we'd be asking for requests when DP6 hadn't even come out yet. Having said that, I will reiterate my request for grace notes in Quickscribe, which I've been advocating for for about 4 years now!

MUCH, MUCH better implementation and functionality of the Beat Detection Engine. Or how about one that actually works as advertised. I have so much audio to time together and the BDE isn't even worth getting into. I have to do it all one beat at a time. I've gone on about this since they released the "feature" and have since abandoned it. And the time stretching algorithm needs a major overhaul as well.

I would just like more participation by MOTU of it's user base which might allow some direct discussions to kick a few ideas around..
Cheers

I hope they can fix all those pesky little bugs in DP 6.17. For now I'm sticking with DP 6.14 because it is completely stable with the latest version of Tomcat.chaim wrote:Wish list for DP 6.5

Re: Wish list for DP 6.5
Oh by the way Zed I've just texted you via CMS (clippings messaging service) but thought I'd mention here anyway .... this morning I recorded those percussion parts we were talking about directly into your project, the one in your shared DP projects folder. Just open the project and you'll find them in there. I noticed you've finished mixing those vocal tracks of mine- sounds great thanks - I didn't even know I had that plug! ... BTW that was a great Polar jam we had the other night/morning, some 6.17 users who were able to see said we drew quite a large online crowd - must do it again sometime! ....... this DP 6.14 / Tomcat combo totally rockszed wrote:I hope they can fix all those pesky little bugs in DP 6.17.
