24 i/o not turning on now...?

Hi,

I just purchased a Motu 24 i/o as an expander for my 2408MkIII system. Whilst the 2408MkIII is off at Blacklion audio getting a mod done I though I'd use the 24 i/o in the meantime, good plan?

Well I plugged in the 24 i/o and a couple of LEDs came on, I fired up the computer etc then nothing, no love from the 24 i/o.

I then worked out that the 24 i/o was switched to 110V (I'm in Australia 230V). Now the Motu 24 i/o will not switch on at all.

I've tried different plugs etc have switched the unit from 110 to 230V a few times and am still not getting anything.

Because I tried to turn the 24 i/o on with 230V power whilst it was switched to 110V is it possible that I've blown something, a fuse, the unit...

Ouch!...

P.S. No it didn't do anything drastic like smoke or smell funny?

Without the resistors switched in to handle the 230V current, it most likely blew a component or two. You could send it to MOTU and see if they can repair it.
