828mkII randomly freezes

My 828mkII FW has started randomly freezing for no apparent reason. I thought it might be a Windows driver problem so I reinstalled the latest version, but it still occurred.

So I tried disconnecting the Firewire cable and just leaving it switched on to test it and it also froze eventually. I'm guessing it must be some sort of hardware fault. Any suggestions of fixes, or should I just return it to Motu?

When it freezes, the clock samplerate light goes out and the main LCD display gets stuck on whatever it's showing at the time. If there's any audio activity on the meters at the time, they also get stuck on that level.

Any help, suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

If the problem happens when it's not connected to the computer, then I think the interface is malfunctioning. You should probably contact MOTU.
